All about Coppley
With a rich heritage rooted in distinctive style and precise Canadian craftsmanship, Coppley has been crafting exceptional tailored garments for the sophisticated North American gentleman for over 140 years.
Originally founded in the late 1800s, Coppley began by producing uniforms for the Canadian military, police, fire services, and hospitality sectors. In the early 1920s, the company expanded into men's tailored clothing, operating under several different brand names.
By the 1980s, Coppley had built a reputation as a forward-thinking and fashionable apparel leader, blending licensed and proprietary brands. In the early 1990s, the company entered the U.S. market for men's tailored clothing, reintroducing the Coppley brand. By the late 1990s, Coppley shifted focus away from licensed brands, consolidating its Canadian-made offerings under the Coppley name across North America.
